ASF awarded scholarships to graduates from public and private Alameda High Schools. While academic performance and financial need were important components of the selection process, it was each student’s strong leadership skills and community involvement that motivated the selection committee to choose them. During their high school years these students volunteered at several Alameda charities and community organizations, such as, The Alameda Food Bank and DECA Food Drive.
